This created  an new, unfamiliar atmosphere, but did not seem to hinder his school performance.  Along with his outstanding grades, Baldev continued to show leadership skills, a class ambassador in his 7th grade year.  In both his 7th and 8th grade years, he was a representative of his school in the school spelling bee, even coming in 3rd place in the county as a 7th grader.

Baldev was accepted into Highland School  of Technology as a freshman and realized that he wanted to do more to help his school community.  He is already active in school activities, incliding involvement in HOSA, QuizBowl, Math Club, World Quest, Beta Club, and cross country.  To help his school and community, Baldev decided to try and play an even bigger role at his school, making policies that will contribute the wellbeing of our school atmosphere.  All of us- students, teachers, staff members, and the like- have been put on his agenda as something that matters.

Meet Baldev

Baldev Desai, a Highland School of Technology sophomore, always had the dream of making his school the best it can be.  From the humble streets of New York, Baldev developed a strong, hard-working attitude and a leadership mindset.  As Baldev grew closer  to young adulthood, he recognized the stuggles of his peers and wanted to make a change for his fellow classmates.

Baldev attended 3 different elementary schools throughout his schooling.  The His strong mindset and ideals made him an excellent student and classmate throughout his early years of schooling.  An outstandingly bright child, Baldev soared through school with ease, recieving consistently high scores.  Baldev enrolled Springfield Middle School for the sixth grade, where he also demostrated leadership, a team captain in two sports- soccer and football.

However, in Baldev's second year of middle school, his family moved to North Carolina to accomodate his father's job with IBM.  After IBM moved to Singapore, the family gained ownership of two subways.
